When
I think of entrepreneurs, I first think of their vision, tenacity,
and creativity, but especially, I think of their courage.
Small
business owners face many obstacles as they carve out their
niche in the marketplaceobstacles such as competition
and raising the capital needed to grow. Not to mention litigious
lawyers, and onerous and oft-unfathomable government rules and
taxes. These certainly are speed bumps on the small business
highway, but they are, after all, just challenges that all businesses
have to manage.
For
entrepreneurs, the prime challenge is being able to reach inside
themselves to find the courage and inspiration they need to
face the marketplace, typically alone, and often in the face
of negativism from non-enterpreneurs.
If
I were limited as to what I could do to support entrepreneurs,
I would give them a way to kindle their vision, strengthen their
tenacity, encourage their creativity, and motivate them to be
courageous. In Small Business Is Like a Bunch of Bananas,
Jim Blasingame has done exactly that.
Jim
has a unique way of speaking volumes in the 52 thoughts-in-a-nutshell
in this book, that takes the reader straight to the heart and
spirit of entrepreneurialism. In this book, as in his radio/internet
broadcasts and other writings, Jim lifts up entrepreneurs and
speaks to them on a level that can only be achieved by one who
knows the world of small business.
If
you own a small business, or are thinking about it, don't miss
this opportunity to tap into Jim Blasingame's high entrepreneurial
energy.
Good
luck.
